After overcoming several financial issues, Akhanda 2 finally released on Friday. The film managed to post decent collections over its first weekend, but it needs to remain very strong during the weekdays to meet its high box-office targets.
To celebrate the release, a grand success meet was held in Hyderabad last night, with most of the film’s team in attendance.
However the biggest talking point was the absence of producers Ram Achanta and Gopi Achanta at the event. Surprisingly neither Balayya nor director Boyapati mentioned the producers during their speeches.
The film had earlier been delayed due to financial hurdles and reports suggest that this led to differences between the producers and Balakrishna. This gap was clearly visible during the success meet. Sources also claim that Boyapati did not interact with the producers even after the film’s release.
It is also said that the expenses for the success meet were not discussed with the producers. Instead Balakrishna and Boyapati publicly thanked Dil Raju for resolving the issues and playing a key role in ensuring the film’s release.
